inside nothing ever seems to calm.
Like a shadow passing through the day
barely hearing what they say.
Shapeless boredom fills the room
stuck memories of a dying bloom.

Grayish mist blocks my whole sight
rendering breathless holding me tight.
how hard the sun shines down on me

From black to white, from white to black
just wishing someone put the color back.
Wondering why I have to pay
living a life dyed in solid gray.

This is not a black and white world
to be alive
I say that the colors must swirl
and I believe
that maybe today
we will all get to appreciate
the beauty of gray
